It's beautiful, and nostalgic, and fun to use. Obviously not the most affordable keyboard solution, but if you have the money to throw at it and love both old typewriters and your iPad, this is for you. It's solidly built, feels very nice to use and works just the way it should. My only disappointment: the roller wheels don't move. The carriage return lever does work though and is fun to use. Definitely pair this up with Hanx Writer app if you're using iOS. :-)

Updated Review: Qwerkywriter read this my original review (below) and REALLY stepped up to the plate to make things right. They contacted me, got all the details, and said they would send me a brand new S model, if I would just send the old one back. I did, and, viola, a brand new one arrived just a few days later. It is great, and I'm now a proud Qwerkywriter owner again! Thanks to Brian and Esther. Well done! P.S. I stand by this review, but I think the Bluetooth connection should last longer - I get about 4 days before I have to recharge. I still love it.
Original Review: Great looking keyboard that I really liked....when it worked. Which was not often. I replaced it once, but the second one had the same problems. Then, they wouldn't do anything about it other than offer me a discount on a newer model. I almost did it, but the prior failures and still loose USB plug, regrettably, made me look elsewhere. I really tried to like this, but, well, sometimes things don't work out as you'd hoped.

I have always hated those cheap. plastic keys and keyboards! I can type 90 wpm, but my fingers are very large, and it's difficult trying to "stay on the keys" of those plastic keyboards, especially those flat key laptops, without "drifting" and touching another key. It's like trying to type on a kitchen counter top with the letters simply written on the surface. And, again, those cheap made keyboards with their cheap plastic keys are fine for people who can only type with two fingers. But in my opinion, and having over 20 years of experience typing on these cheap plastic things, and for people who KNOW how to type - they are garbage! The high quality keys on this "QWERKYWRITER S" keyboard solves that problem beautifully. This keyboard is the ultimate in high quality and value - all metal - very, very well made. (it's also a very beautiful keyboard - pretty enough to hang on the wall!)
It may seem pricey, but, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! And this keyboard is hands down the BEST I've ever typed on, regarding the hundreds of computer keyboards I've had to type on since 1996! As far as I'm concerned, all those cheap made plastic keyboards all belong in a classroom full of first graders! Bottom line - after using mine and, experiencing all that it is capable of doing (more than any average computer keyboard is capable of doing), I would have gladly paid $500 for it and not batted an eyelash.....IT IS WELL WORTH IT!! I'll never be without one of these from now on!

This was an indulgence for me when I set up a home office for research and writing. But the expense was worth it for a great keyboard!
Looks and feels like real work equipment instead of a flimsy toy. Well-spaced keys mean not a lot of typos. Narrow width that leaves desk space for other devices, ☕, and scratch pad. Quick and easy to set up with my 2 computers. And, when I had a question, there was a real, live support person...yes, one who actually helped me!
I will never go back to cheap, disposable keyboards, but it's going to be a long time before I need to replace this one.

I ordered this keyboard to be a centerpiece in my home office. I have been remodeling my office to have a retro look with furniture from the 50's. The keyboard was a beautiful aesthetic match. I am a Apple user and regularly use my Mac Pro for work and my Mac Mini at home. I was replacing the Apple Keyboard linked via Bluetooth to my Mac Mini. It took me a long weekend to get accustomed to the long throw of the keys on the Qwerkywriter. By the end of the weekend I was in love with it. I had to make some decision regarding how to use the volume wheel and the scrolling wheel built in to the Qwerkywriter. Overall I was very pleased and the look was stunning. I returned to work on Monday and found that my fingers had adjusted to the long throw keys and now typing on my laptop felt alien. When I returned home that night and shifted back to the Qwerkywriter I had to make a similar adjustment. It soon became apparent to me that this transition was going to become a lifestyle choice. Ultimately I decided that I needed to keep my muscle memory for my laptop keyboard and surrender the Qwerkywriter. My heart still aches a little as a fondly remember the little gem (returned). It wan't the right solution for me, but for anyone with a long throw keyboard lifestyle I highly recommend it.

I love this so much! I got it for my office. However, after using this for a week, I really want one for the home office as well.
I write so many letters and not-so-interesting arguments on a computer.
As corny as it sounds, this keyboard actually makes me want to type.
---Update--
I get so many compliments from clients. I have been using this for around a month. I did not need to charge once.
I really want to get another keyboard... I just wish the price would drop a little, just a little so I can justify this luxury spending.

As soon as I received my Qwerkywriter, I could not wait to start using it. I watched several videos on how to set it up before it arrives and the first step is always charging it for 2-3 hours. However, my keyboard came fully charged! What a delightful surprise that I could start using it immediately.
This keyboard has sat in my Amazon wishlist for over a year, and I finally bit the bullet when I began working from home during the COVID-19 crisis. It was a pricey investment, but well worth the cost. My productivity has increased because I simply want to use this keyboard and have the experience of working on a manual typewriter, of which I have four! But I cannot practically use my manual typewriters for work. It is a wonderful experience to be able to have the same tactile feel and audible sound of a typewriter, with the functionality of working on a computer or tablet. It is not as heavy as I thought it would be, but I could see how traveling with this constantly could be cumbersome.
I am thoroughly enjoying my Qwerkywriter and have a feeling I will be bringing this to the office when the time comes to go back. I love the sound, however, it could be somewhat loud for others in the vicinity. This is fine for when I am at home and can shut the door to my home office. If I do decide to take this to the office, I will probably need to shut my office door so as not to aggravate my office compadres. But I am sure it will be a conversation starter as well.
If you are looking for the experience of a typewriter and enjoy the click-clack of the keys, this is a wonderful and well-made product. It is beautiful combination of the old and the new. I recommend this to anyone who has a passion for typewriters, or wants to feel like a true writing aficionado.

Back when I still had an iPad I had purchased Tom Hanks's app, Hankswriter. I loved the old vintage keyboard emulations. A couple years ago I got rid of my iPad and got a Surface Pro (and let me say right here, I don't get involved in the Apple/ Microsoft flame wars. Use what you like, what fits your lifestyle, profession, hobby--to each is own). While the app was nice--THIS IS AN ACTUAL TYPEWRITER!!! How cool is that? OK, OK, it's not REALLY a typewriter. But...
I absolutely love this thing. It brings back wonderful memories of my grandfather pecking away on an actual typewriter back when he was still with us, some forty years ago. There is just nothing like the tactile feel of real keys--the resistance, the clackity-clack...
The Surface Pro fits fine into the holding bracket in the back, but unfortunately, it's at a steep angle that makes it almost impossible for me to see the screen. That was easily and simply solved by using an external monitor. I've thought about trying to bend the bracket back a little, but with the monitor working out just fine, I don't want to take the chance of breaking it. Maybe the iPad lays back a little further, so if that's your device you likely won't even have this issue.
Other than that, it's a wonderful addition for anyone who longs for the experience of an old-time typewriter married to 21st century technology.

Ok. Got my keyboard two days late. Had some difficulty getting it to connect to my iPad and computer. All my fault for not reading the instructions completely. Its now working as expected. I have it connected to try iMac, my iPad and my iPhone 11 Max Pro. No lag in the keystrokes once you charge it up. One keyboard. Three devices. Just what I wanted for Christmas. I still need to learn how to cut and paste using the keyboard but other than that, I am Rocking and Rolling. Thank You Dana Perino of the the Five on Fox for giving one of these keyboards to Greg Gutfeld for Christmas. Merry Christmas to me.
Santo Wingham
Gets me in the mood. Briings back the old days of instruction on a manual typewriter. One can "Do it standing up" to channel Ernest Hemmingway. Looks glorious in my Leonard Bernstein Memorial Library as a functioning typewriter prop in the manner of those seen on TV in personal libraries. And clicks like the real thing. I draw the line at throwing it out the window as Jane Fonda did her typewriter in Julia. The real life Jane would probably like this functional treasure. It is officially named Clickity Click.

I spent many years using a manual typewriter.it. The QWERTYWRITER now gives me the best of both worlds with a typewriter and a computer integrated. I use an old Windows 10 computer which started life as a Windows 7, with Office 365 connected via HDMI to a 24 inch monitor and the QWERTYWRITER USB connected to the computer. Worked great right out of the box. I pretty much desk bound (disabled Arny retired Vet) and enjoying it. I have a both te QWERTYWRITER and the mouse connected to the computer. The QUWERTYWRITER is a solid device..

Super build quality. Heavy duty materials, which help it sit solidly on a desk. Not quite a true old school "typewriter," feel, but pretty close in being electro-mechanical, versus a totally mechanical device. Keys are not tiered like a typewriter, so wrist angle is less arched. I use the wired USB versus the blue-tooth, too many competing devices. Love the notch built into the device that lets me put my iPad Pro 12.5" device securely into the keyboard.
Leanne Wadlington
As a professional writer, I wanted the romance of an old school typewriter with the productive advantage for editing of a modern computer. Qwerkywriter keyboard provides this experience, especially when used with my Samsung S6 tablet. I also use it as my go-to keyboard for my Apple MacBook Pro computer. There’s nothing else out there like it! I bought three other less expensive “fakes” before purchasing this from reputable manufacturers but Qwerkywriter is the best out there if you’re looking for retro modern feel and functionality. If you write for a living or simply want the best, get a Qwerkywriter!
Kaycee Alvis
My job has mandated that we all work from home. It's been a blessing (yay not traveling to the office) and a curse (stuck with my tiny laptop for work). That's where the qwertywriter comes in. I'm able to effectively work from home by using a stand-alone keyboard, which has literally been my salvation right now.
The retro styling is gorgeous--it's a work of art all on its own, and can elevate your workspace in the most exquisite way. Highly recommended for anyone who is looking for an ancillary keyboard for home or work.
Stanford Boerner
The most useful thing I learned in high school was how to type. For most of the years since then my only experience with typing was with a large variety of computer keyboards. While many of those "worked just fine", none of them brought back the feel, the nostalgia... and just plain fun of typing. I have been a writer for a good many years, but this keyboard is the first that has actually inspired me. I'm guessing that sounds silly, but we all have our favorites, we all have those things in our lives that truly make a difference. As I type this review using the Qwerkywriter keyboard I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

I rarely splurge and spend what I think is more money than necessary on anything for myself. Usually it's for the wife or kids... But God am I had I bought this keyboard. Such high quality. Ease of use is unreal. Bluetooth hookup is easier than any of my other Bluetooth items, and it's so great to type on. The layout and spacing will take some getting used to, but I look forward to that! Would've given 6 stars if I could have. Thanks for a great product.
Kiara Hendershott
It took me two years to make the decision to buy this ridiculous keyboard and now I’m mad at myself for not doing it sooner. It’s a solid piece of machinery and feels great typing on. The price tag is a lil heftier than other mechanical keyboard options but it makes up for it by being the cafe racer of keyboards
Rhonda Valverde
Switch between phone, iPad, and Computer with ease. Three devices stay Bluetooth synced up. With just a press of the function button and a 1,2,or 3 you can switch between devices instantly. No more push button to sync nonsense. This is by far the greatest feature of this keyboard besides the great keys. I really wish they had tombstone shaped keys though. (They are the best on the old typewriters for typing efficiency in my opinion.)

I have a BA in Philosoophy, and prior to that I was in both the funeral industry and law enforcement. Add to that the fact that I LOVE to write and got quite a bit of practice at it in college, I've tried lots of keyboards. Then I discovered typewriters sounds for your keyboard, loved that, THEN I found this! Yes, it's expensive, but it gives you everything an old manual typewriter would (and what writer doesn't love those gems) with today's technology. When I sell my current novel, I'm sending a case of gratis copies to HDD and ordering a full-on Charcoal Underwood Universal - of perhaps something more extravagant made of exotic hardwood. Qwerkywriter hit a home run on this one!

These days, owning and using a manual typewriter is teetering on the brink of becoming the next "owning a record player to play vinyl records" niche sensation. In a digital age, making use of mostly mechanical, analog technology is a deliberate choice, but one that's fraught with much of the same baggage that caused us to abandon it in the first place. [To see what I mean, check out Scott Schad's nifty book, Typewriters for Writers (2014), where he lovingly describes the extraordinary lengths required just to do a small portion of the things even the most rudimentary text-centric software and apps can do with no manual intervention.]
While the look and feel of a good manual typewriter is undeniably unique, properly maintaining and utilizing such a beast is probably well beyond those with just a casual interest. Enter the Qwerkytoys Qwerkywriter (Amazon, Official Website), which gives you much of the look and feel of a good manual typewriter, but with the benefits of the digital age. Paired with your computer or a good tablet and the right app, you can create an alternative writing environment that just might be the envy of even some of the more dedicated manual typewriter enthusiasts (although probably not Mr. Schad).
A good, name brand mechanical keyboard - which anyone who spends any time typing should invest in - usually starts in the hundred dollar range and goes up from there. Even with those numbers in mind, the Qwerkywriter is pricey. And that price was lowered to $249.00. Of course, to be fair to the Qwerkywriter, it is a unique design, so it's not really surprising that it exceeds the price of most high-end mechanical keyboards, where it's probably easier to buy parts in quantity.
The US keyboard layout model I'm reviewing features 83 keys, while the UK version has 84 (where the left shift key is instead two separate circular keys). Most of the keys are circular, while others, like BACKSPACE and ENTER, are rounded rectangles. These keys are beautifully crafted, although the space bar is unique among the keys and is neither as stylish nor feels quite as good when typing.
A typewriter-style carriage return lever on the left side of the machine functions as a macro key, although, for enhanced authenticity, I just had mine duplicate the ENTER key's functionality.
This is a Bluetooth-only device that supports just one profile at a time, so to use it with multiple devices you'll have to pair it again between device changes. The microUSB port is only for charging. Since there's no backlight, you'll get up to three months of battery life. Although it has automatic power saving, there's also a discrete on/off rocker switch.
Towards the back, there's a generously-sized slot that should fit most tablets, like my Apple iPad Pro 9.7, or 2-in-1 computers, like my Microsoft Surface Pro 3, up to 5/8" in thickness. Of course, use of the slot is optional, and it's just as easy to use the Qwerkywriter with a desktop or other Bluetooth-enabled device. To the left and right of the slot are platen knobs, but sadly these are just for decoration and don't actually rotate (it would be cool to use them to move the cursor, similar to the dedicated cursor keys).
Device dimensions are about 13" wide and 7" deep. Thanks to its aluminum construction and other mechanical parts, it weighs a solid 3 lbs. That heft helps with stability, and, like the Freewrite I reviewed earlier, helps with the overall feel versus a regular keyboard.
I tried the Qwerkywriter with a variety of software and apps on my Surface Pro 3 and iPad Pro 9.7. It was on the latter that perhaps the most fun was had, using the popular Tom Hanks-driven Hanx Writer. Simulating the look, sounds, and yes, limitations of a typewriter on the iPad's screen paired perfectly with the authentic look and feel of the Qwerkywriter.
Just like with the Freewrite before it, although not without its flaws, the Qwerkywriter is unique in the market and it services the purpose it was designed for well. You can have as little or as much of the "romantic" typewriter writing experience as you'll likely want, without all the hassle that goes into owning a real manual typewriter.
Pluses:
- Classy design
- Good build quality
- Great manual typewriter-like feel
- Unique typing experience
Minuses:
- Pricey
- Only one Bluetooth profile, so need to resync each time you want to use a different device with it
- Space bar is a bit disappointing, though even that is somewhat authentic
- Platen knobs are just for decoration
Summary:
Although you probably won't want to use the Qwerkywriter as your daily driver keyboard, it's a great, if pricey way to create a unique manual typewriter-like writing environment while still maintaining the many advantages of today's digital world.

This product is so much FUN!! I love typing on this keyboard! The clicky keys are not too clicky that it annoys my office mate. While the keyboard is a bit pricey, I still think it was worth every penny. I love antique type things and this fits the bill perfectly. I love quirky things and again this fits perfectly!! My coworkers think it’s a hoot! I only use it plugged in because I’m using it with a thin client at work and the thin client doesn’t have Bluetooth capability. It’s super responsive and I do not lose keystrokes. I don’t usually pay this much for tech but this time I treated myself and I was not disappointed!! If you are considering this splurge, do it!! Seriously, so much fun!!

I LOVE THIS KEYBOARD! I do most of my writing on my iMac with an Apple Magic Keyboard or on my iPad Pro with a Logitech Slim Combo Keyboard, but when I'm doing long writing, I often put my Qwerkywriter front and center and type on it for awhile. I also occasionally use it with my iPad. I still have my first piece of tech, a 1950's Olympia SM-3 portable manual typewriter. I loved it, but I can't type on it now. It has a stepped keyboard, and you really have to pound on the keys--I mean you have to assault them. The Qwerkywriter lets me step back in time with keys that are easy to press and it let's me keep the convenience of modern word processing. And it has that nice clicky-clack sound.
It's well designed and is built like a tank. Someone complained about the plastic keys. Guess what? My 60 year old Olympia has plastic keys, and it was often described as being built like a tank. I use the little carriage return instead of the Enter key because that's part of the fun.
I fully appreciate modern keyboards, but sometimes it's relaxing to slow down a little and enjoy an old-timey keyboard. I don't recommend this for your regular keyboard, but if you're into this type of thing--and I am--this beautifully crafted artifact is worth the money.
Oh, and it just looks beautiful on my desk, sitting right below the 27-inch iMac screen. Together, they're a visual timescale of tech.

I absolutely LOVE this thing! There is something indefinable about the sound of a typewriter keyboard, some connection to the words pouring out of you onto the paper that's just missing with a silent, membrane keyboard. For several years in my twenties I freelanced on the side, pounding out copy on an Olivetti manual, and the hours spent revising and re-writing in the quest for clean copy were a nightmare and a financial drain. When word processors first appeared in the mid eighties, I bought in and never looked back. But something was missing, and I couldn't quite put my finger on it.
Since buying the Qwertywriter I've developed a new routine. I have it plugged in via the USB cord, and I also have a bluetooth keyboard. When it's time to write I put the bluetooth aside, and use the Qwertywriter. It somehow makes this connection in my brain that it's time to write, and I'm no longer tempted to start surfing every time I get stuck or frustrated. I feel like I'm back sitting in front of that old Olivetti, only without the table pounding and swearing over every typo or spelling error.
Some have said it takes some getting used to, but I had no trouble in that regard at all. In just a couple of minutes I felt right at home, and the copy just pours out onto the page. And somehow, deep in the gray matter, your brain is acknowledging the sound of each keystroke as one more step on the journey, one step closer to your goal. I find I'm no longer so quick to delete whole paragraphs or pages, or to send everything to the trash bin thinking “This sucks. I'll start over tomorrow.” There's a desire to salvage whats' in front of you, what you've accomplished so far, and in doing so finding your errors and discovering your way forward.
Is it worth the price? That's a question each has to answer for themselves, but for me...it's priceless.
Laquita Belgarde
I love to write but often really dislike the new and modern keyboards so avoid writing since that is all I have to use. I saw this beauty and decided that I had to have one. I have an IPad Pro 12.9 inch and was a bit skeptical that it would work in the upright position without falling over or out. It works beautifully, as I type now I must say I am thoroughly enjoying leaving a review for the first time in ages. My IPad Pro is sitting up in the stand and the keyboard is in my lap on the couch and it is perfect, comfortable and a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I say if you have the money and enjoy the old typewriter keyboard style like I do then its a must have!! It came quickly, it connected via Bluetooth with no problem, and it works like a charm!
Williams Lambrecht
This is a beautifully constructed keyboard, with clickity-clack keys, that have the look, touch, and feel of a typewriter. It is a nice experience typing with this on my iPad and on my computer. Makes the experience of typing much more pleasurable then simply banging away on some cheaper generic keyboard that most computers are packaged with these days. Keys are full size, which is more pleasant than the typical compact keyboards of most laptop or notebook computers. Typing is fast and easy. The keys have pleasant tactile feedback and about the right pressure so as not to inadvertently type extra keystrokes very often for keys that are just casually brushed. It is portable and lightweight and fits easily into may backpack so I can take it to work. It is a little noisy, so if you have co-workers in an adjacent cubicle, or if you use it at a coffee shop, others may not like the noise much, after the initial novelty wears off. The noise is part of the charm though. My son heard it and saw it for the first time and asked if I was using a typewriter. It is metal and of high quality, hence more expensive than all of the copy cat keyboards that are coming out now. I also have a cheap copy cat keyboard, and it is good for what it is, but this keyboard is much more solid, better constructed, and overall worth the extra money. Highly recommended as a luxury item, or as a gift to an older person who misses typewriters. My younger colleagues, who have never used a typewriter, also like it and really enjoy typing on it, so it is really a gift for all ages. I last charged the battery a month ago, and it is still going. I am not a gamer, so cannot comment in that department. It is great simply for typing.

I'll be honest. I couldn't seem to kick myself out of a writer's slump and this has certainly helped do the trick. I wanted a new, fun clicky keyboard and had been eyeing this for a while, but I struggled with the price. On my birthday, I bit the bullet and bought it. I'm so glad I did.
I have four other keyboards including two Das Keyboards, a Lofree, and an Apple keyboard, and this is by far my favorite for writing. Hands down. I love the sound. I love the feel of the keys...and I love the sound. It bears repeating. This is really a beautiful piece of machinery. It feels built to last a long time. I've read complaints about the keys. I have no complaints about anything. It's a keyboard...and a great one.
Delivery was on time. It came in two days., and unboxing was fun. I didn't have problems with the bluetooth connection or set up. It was very easy once you realize you use the button next to the micro USB plug to connect to the various devices and not the one near the return.
The return works great and the knobs work as well. I have mine set up so the left knob controls the volume and the right allows me to scroll without using my mouse. You can alternate that.
Let's be realistic: It's a keyboard, it's not magical. And it has a GLORIOUS sound, but it's not a typewriter. Is it worth it? Every. Stinking. Penny. For all who indulge in this purchase--enjoy! You will just love it.

The Qwerkywriter S is the best keyboard I have owned, and trust me when I say I have bought many from Amazon. Needless to say up front that I will not be buying anything else but Qwerkywriter S, unless they can somehow top what they have. The keyboard is nice looking, well-constructed, and smooth running. The design I love. It works beautifully with my Mac Air laptop using bluetooth or the usb plug in. It is so nice to have the option to use either. I had no issues with hooking it up to bluetooth or using it strictly as plug and play. I can't empathize enough how beautiful and how smooth this keyboard is. If you are trying to decide whether or not to purchase one... the price is well worth it. I have a Mac Desktop Computer that I am planning to purchase another Qwerkywriter S for. I am very, very satisfied and happy with it and would more than highly recommend it to anyone. As a matter of fact, it will be the only keyboard I will recommend from here on out. Love it. Thank you Qwerky... you rock the big one! Oh, and one more mention, the keyboard comes in a nice box and is well packaged. If I could give this product 10 stars, I would.

For someone who learned to type on manual and electric typewriters, the tactile feel of this device is reminiscent of those machines. That was the primary purpose I purchased this device.
Setup was very easy and it works well with my Surface tablet. I've only used it with MS Word and I can tell it's going to take a little time to get used to. I've found that keeping a mouse handy helps with some tasks that are hard to do via touchscreen (because it is sitting in the dock). Small price to pay for the other features.
It's heavy and loud. Probably going to draw disapproving glances if you're in a library setting.
I haven't run the battery all the way down yet, so I can't vouch for the longevity. I'm hoping it's as good as advertised.
This device probably won't be as appealing to someone who hasn't operated an older typewriter. However, for those who liked the kinetic feel of the older machines will really appreciate this device.
It's a serious tool for writers and the value is good.

My old mechanical keyboard died on me, and it was also typewriter-inspired. I actually collect typewriters, so being able to "use" one for my digital life is simply awesome, and this one is miles better than my old one. The keys are really wonderful to type on. They have a lot of travel, and make a wonderful "clicking" sound without being too loud (like my old keyboard, which my fiancé couldn't stand the sounds of.)
This keyboard definitely is quirky. Only having one CMD key instead of one either side of the space bar takes some getting used to, along with the FN key being to the right of the space bar instead of in the bottom left corner like normal. But my fingers adjusted within a few hours of using it, and I definitely type faster on this keyboard than any other I've used.
I really really like the return lever that they've included. I actually use it more than the regular return key. You can also program the lever to "press" any other key or combination of keys that you like. For a while, I tried it to replace pressing CMD and I together for italics, which was really handy. I just missed using it to enter!! It also makes good sense as a tab button, because of the pushing action, but the tab key is so close that I can't justify that. I use it a good deal when I'm doing something with my mouse that also requires pressing enter a lot, like when I'm entering citations from Zotero into my word processor. It is definitely quicker because my left hand is already close to it.
The main issue I have with the keyboard is that it doesn't have a backlight. This isn't a deal-breaker for me, but I definitely didn't notice that until I used it. Because this is my desk keyboard and I won't travel with it, I rarely use it in the dark because I always have my desk light on if I'm working late, (and I suppose it's true to typewriters which also didn't have them!) but it just seems like something you expect on most keyboards for this price.
I've had no issue with the bluetooth connectivity, and I've yet to run out of charge, although I do have it plugged in pretty regularly.
One of my favorite features is the iPad stand (shown in pictures) which they seem to have improved on from earlier versions because I find that the iPad fits well and isn't too upright. (I have an iPad Pro 12.9 2020 with a leather case on it.) This feature is AWESOME and when you've got the right app up, really emulates the typewriting experience.
All in all, I'm very happy with this product, it was worth the money, and I absolutely love it!

I'm a publicist, I type press releases. I love good keyboards. The Qwerky S keyboard is the best keyboard I have ever typed on. Is it too expensive. Are you kidding me? This keyboard will outlast four generations of digital devices and computers. Funny, people will pay £2,000 for a laptop that becomes a doorstop in two years, but £250 for a keyboard is too much? It's the easiest way to upgrade your daily experience with a computer or iPad. I pair mine with Hanx Writer software on my iPad. I prefer the IBM Selectric. Awesome, best thing I've bought on Amazon in a long time. My wife saw it and wanted one, so did my friend. Now we're all Qwerkying!
