If you like to camp or leave it in your car for an emergency basically if you use a propane burner they he gets wasted it doesn't give off heat really but if you put this over the top of it it will generate heat it works really good
Cathy Marsh
This device essentially creates a pseudo radiator to help spread heat around from a small stove. In an emergency, it indeed works well. It uses quite a bit of fuel - especially if you have the stove wide open. So, you do not want this as a primary heat source. But it works great in an emergency. It also works for applications like an ice shanty or other small enclosure. Just make sure that you allow for adequate air circulation. Sealing up a space allows the heater to be more efficient, but it also prevents you from having enough air to breathe.

We ordered this heater hoping that it would work, but skeptical that it actually would. I’m happy to report that it does work and that it throws enough heat to take the chill out of the air in a small pop-up camper. I don’t think that we would be able to rely on it to provide much help in super cold temperatures, but it did a decent job on a 40-degree rainy day. Our pop-up fits in the back of our truck’s 6-foot bed and extends a little bit over the cab, to give you an idea on the size of the area that we’re talking about. I suspect that this little heater would do a better job in a smaller space. All in all, we are happy with it. We take it with us “just in case.” It attaches securely to the burner of our gas stove in the camper and once the gas flame is shut off under the heater, the heater cools off pretty quickly. Not bad!

Keeps my van nice and warm on my Coleman single burner stove with a fan moving air around. When cooling down does have a strange smell. Been using this for couple of months. Would buy this again.

I use this product for camping and backpacking. It's keep me warm on long winter night and it's a lightweight .
Little bit hard to pack .
Dougie Huber
I was sceptical of it's construction, but it is pretty heavy duty. It takes a min to heat up, but does the job. Just be careful when using this. If you bump the stove it could fall off and be a fire hazard.
Shane
It actually works, I have used this almost every night in my van. I wouldn’t say it makes it hotter but it disperse the heat better than just an open cooktop flame.
Kanye Cooley
I plan on using this in a hunting blind with sterno cans. I test ran it with a 6hr can to burn the oils off. Ran great. Puts off a lot of heat. I out it in a terracotta pot to keep the heat flowing up and not out against the blind wall. Works good. True test will be in January.

All I can say is that it works great with this little camp stove. Sets into slots well. I've got one of the higher BTU camp stoves out there and let me tell you the "heater" turns red hot even at medium. I usually run it on low. If using indoors (manufacturer does not recommend), take care and be sure to have a CO alarm. EDITED TO ADD: This little guy was a lifesaver during the unexpected extremely cold and historic winter storm we just experienced here in Texas. Our power was off for days and so no central heat. I placed a small USB fan to gently blow across the top of this heater to better disperse the heat (see photo) and it brought our bedroom up from around 40°F to 70°F! Glad I had it for this emergency.

The sitting area in my RV is near to the stove. Bought this so I can heat up the space a little without running the furnace and heating the whole RV (burning more propane). I had to fold the large tabs inward to sit properly on the grate. Does the job but as others have stated, it sets off my smoke alarm if I turn the burner up too high.

The Camping Mini Heater, Portable Stainless Steel Camping stove really works to help heat up a small space. Where I live we are experiencing our second major ice storm within a week. Having this stove takes some of the worry of losing electricity for a while. Also have a camper van this will work well in.
Ed Bird
I use this to warm up my camper on cold mornings. I just set it on the stove burner and put on low... works great. I would never use this at night or as a main source of heat... but it is nice to have to warm up the camper a bit when that is all that is needed. I bought to use in my tent.. but have not had the occasion to use it yet.
Aimie
I did not have the alcohol flame burning for very long and within minutes the area that I was in quickly heated up. Of course, I tested this during the summer but it was also a chilly morning. I am curious how well this tool will perform in the frigid air of winter. So far, I am very pleased with my purchase.
Neil
Easy twist-on, twist-off attachment to my cooktop; gives almost instant access to warming heat in my van.
Hector Freeman
set it on your burner with a low flame set to the size of the inner ring to make it glow red and this tiny attachment will heat a whole trailer in no time cheaply.
Riya Bush
Heated up my 19ft fiberglass trailer nicely, didn’t have to use my little buddy heater , wife was warm and happy , odorless heater was a big plus
Griff
I use this exclusively during the California power shut down. I was in my Westfalia camper with the top popped and it got temps inside the van up to 75 when it was 35 outside. People are saying it's cheap junk it's not, It's actually stainless steel and made well. It's a handy little tool and takes up minimal room in my van. I put my Mr Heater propane heater away.
Pharrell Hodson
I use this heater over an alcohol stove that I made. Works very well. Heat radiates off of it quite effectively. Use caution and common sense if you are using this in a tent of any kind, as it gets very hot. Overall, it is a good little heater.
Laaibah
I haven't been able to test the heat output yet. And setting it on top of my alcohol stove is difficult with the handle provided with the heater, but easy if I do it with my hand.
What I have found is that the black top has some substance that has to be burned off - it smokes a lot, and smells like tires burning - definitely have to do this part outside.
Zaynab Cobb
Bought this for my camp trailer,so that I dont have to run the forced air furnace.they run the batteries way down I have a 19 ft trailer and it performed pretty good. This would not work in winter where I live it is smaller than I thought
Calum Mcpherson
Loved the heat it produced in a tent at a low of 20° F .
It hooked great on a butane stove so I was not as concerned about fire.
I turned it on and off repeatedly it kept heat great ,glowing red!
It kept me warm in an unexpected cold front that moved in fast.
If you don't want a buddy type heater then go with this!
Acacia Nieves
This thing works great to turn my cook stove into a small heater. For camper van. But beware the black paint at the top. Burns of and put out toxic fumes. Best thing I did is turn it upside down and lit burnner to burn off all the paint. Once it is all gone then stove works great in van.
Hafsa
YouTube is loaded with how-to videos to make one of these, but for all the trouble you would go through, you could just order one of these and it will get the job done nicely. It's a radiating heat enhancer, presumably for inside of tents or campers. I don't recommend these if you are camping with pets or children because, for sure, it becomes dangerously hot. If you are camping by yourself and can set it up safely out of the way, then this is a convenient idea. Using this with the non-toxic version of a chafing dish alcohol burner, can run for 6 hours at a time without needing a change. I put a wood stove heat-powered fan right next to it, and power that with a tea candle 1 inch size. Heat and fan work fine. Just don't touch it or knock it over while in use.
Katerina Hartley
Well built and feels like high quality. This isn’t light weight so if you’re looking to count ounces it’s not for you otherwise if you’re not, it’s going to serve you well.
Sorcha Sweeney
Bought this to use with my Wild Wind jet boil stove and it fit snugly with it. Great for heating a tent or trailer. Couple minutes burn and you will be warm. Awesome for warming up before you bed down or wake up. Love it, but use it safely. I keep a cookie sheet under it to protect my tent cause this thing throws off A LOT of heat.
Sadie Parra
This thing puts out some serious heat! I use it on my alchohol stove on my boat and it works better than my propane heat by far! I will be ordering another soon!
Madeline Currie
This is a cylinder about a quart in volume, made mostly of Stainless sheet metal. First burn releases a lot of outgassing and a little smoke, so do it under an exhaust hood or outside.
You can feel the heat from about 3x higher than you can to the side. So it is probably 60% convective and 40% radiant.
You can turn the flame up as far as you like, so long as the flame doesn't lick outside the cylinder. That flame would be wasted.
This is great to warm your hands on at a picnic table, would easily heat a 10 x 10 tent if you could make sure it didn't touch anything or get knocked over. The inside gets bright red hot like coals, and the outside is pretty hot also. So letting it touch a tent floor or wall is going to ruin your whole night.
I think safe indoor use would mean fixing the stove and heater in a place where nothing could brush by them or knock them over, and with a metal baffle above it to break up the heat plume. 4 feet up it would probably be safe for plume to hit a wood ceiling. Also, you would need a certain amount of ventilation, cause it exhausts into the room.
I could totally see using this to heat the back of my pickup for camping, with the window cracked. Could probably heat a whole standup camper top for a pickup.
Tahlia
7x14x7 trailer. I start it out with a medium flame to get the chill out, and then I place the flame on low to keep the place comfy. I did put a flat cast iron trivet under it for stability, which may increase the amount of heat it puts out.
Bartosz Montoya
Oh I love this thing. I just wish the kerosene stove I bought the mate with it held up better. I've got a 30 foot travel trailer and the two of them together made a little space heater kept the place at better than 80° when it was below 20 outside in the wind blowing. I'd say I'd order some more but I don't really have a need for a one gets the job done and I don't see it falling apart anytime soon it's built solid
Tobi
Works well, we used it in our little retro camper (with a CO2 alarm) and it heated it quickly

These are perfectly sized to work with sterno-style cans. Winter came early this year, and I'm trying to find ways to add heat to my ground blinds. Propane heaters give off too much heat and light for that. I just want a little heat to add in the blind. Alcohol gel cans are about right - max temp is ~174º, they have a mostly dim blue flame, they're fairly safe to tip, quiet, with no smell when they're burning. But the uncovered flame is too dangerous. You can use big food cans with added holes to cover it, but the size of the gel cans is a little big - 3-3/8" is the usual size. The inside diameter of these "heaters" is 3-1/2". It's slightly smaller at a seam, 3-7/16, but you can grind that down if you want. And yes, it fits *perfectly* over a 7oz. sterno-style gel can.
If you're using it like I am, you'll want to run it at home for a bit to burn off any oils (things always seem to smoke some when first heated). Of course, burning anything in an enclosed space has CO and CO2 hazards, but in a ground blind there's plenty of fresh air. The alcohol gels burn very cleanly too.
Adrian Murray
Works well on my butane camp stove, but one side always faces toward the wall of my tiny Meerkat trailer and I wish it had an option to block the back side so the heat would mainly radiate out into the center of the trailer. Even so, it heated up my 5x10x6 ft trailer from 50-75F in just 10 mins. The stove alone did a decent job, but the price was right for the improvement.

Description said it came with a bag but there was not one in the package. Have not tried it out yet for my intended use but will get to it this week
Phoebe Murray
Heats my van right up! Crack the windows, open a vent, make sure CO detector is working and this thing can sit on top of your stove and provide quick, radiant heat. You can even heat water on top of it for your water bottle.
Note: burn it off the first time you use it. It smokes a bit for the first 10 minutes or so.
Jade Jackson
Love it...easily warm the sala...
Tony Powell
Great product! Performs as expected

At first it took some figuring out (must read directions). Then it lit up no problem.

This little camping heater actually works. It comes with a detachable handle so you can move it while it's hot. While it doesn't super heat the air it's enough to knock the chill off the air. It's small and compact enough to carry in your backpack. I didn't give it 5 stars because I do wish it was a little bigger.
Max Hughes
Awesome little heater when used with ventilation. It needs a base and a 4 inch chimney
storm collar from Home Depot works beautifully. I don’t know how you could use it without one.
It puts out as much heat as your heat source. My stove burner goes up to 20,000 BTU’s . You can also turn it down to almost nothing. No moving parts. It can’t break. It is very thick, sturdy, light and durable. IT should last many years of daily use.
Alexander Jones
missing the storage bag. Its being rectified from seller as i write this.
Chris Phillips
very durable and works well
Amelia Thompson
Works quite well. A bit overpriced in my opinion.
Alex Richardson
Great little device!! Heats really nicely
