So my dad is petrified of gators. Hates them. When I was 11 we bought a taxidermy head in Florida and when he was asleep - placed it by his pillow. Safe to say he rolled out of bed - believe the word people use in today terms resembleds "parkour" (office) which is pretty impressive for a late 40 early 50s male let me tell ya - Worth every penny seeing a military dude do that. I think he didnt talk for me for a month. Or my mom.
Anyways - fast forward to my mid 30s. We now live by a lake. He is so cocky nothing lives in the lakes and saids hes jumping in - yadda yadda giving me a hard time for not jumping into murky brown waters - you know he doesnt realize hes just buying his time - doesnt realize his daughter is a hybrid mix of crazy and bonified border lined evil. Mowaahahaha.
When he gets in the water my friends - soon... very soon.... an awakening will occur.

I work part time at my buddies large 'hobby' farm. We have several man made ponds and have had problems with waterfowl eating our bait fish.
2 of these (and 2 other models) have done the trick. No more birds!
Tiernan Odonnell
We bought this for our garden pond, which is stocked with goldfish plus a few fancy goldfish and Koi. We have a hawk that spent all of last summer sitting on top of our gazebo, waiting for fish to come to the pond surface. Then he would swoop down and grab them. He ate most of the larger fish. When we set the gator in the pond, the hawk spent a couple of days looping in figure eights over the yard looking at the gator, but he wouldn't land in the yard or near the pond. Wouldn't even land on the gazebo. He finally decided I guess that the gator isn't leaving, so he left instead. If you have critters eating your fish, you need this gator. There is an eyelet on the underside so you use a tether and a weight to keep him in one spot.

My children and I purchased this for my husband who thinks crocs and gators are so cool. I read the reviews and agreed that the red eyes looked very unrealistic. My daughter removed the red stickers on the eyes and painted the eyes a darker color. We put it in our pond and named it Charlie. It honestly looks so real, it’s almost unbelievable. We have cattails and reeds and it just floats around the pond. People spot it and ask if it’s real. We had a bullfrog sitting, floating on the gator last week. I will say that it doesn’t work (in our area of Tennessee) in regards to deterring Great Blue Herons. The Herons still land in our pond and fish. All in all, it a great conversation piece. It’s also become a family activity to walk to the pond and find out where “Charlie” the gator is in pond. He is always in a different place.

Got this in prep for swimming season this year so that our son could take it for a whirl poolside even if the water was a little chilly. It was easy to setup, and though I was worried water might seep in the battery compartment at the bottom, it seems to be holding up fine. I put in some bath bombs to make the water green so it would look like a swamp. It was easy to control as well as my 5 yr old had no issues.

This crocodile head is an absolute riot! It's actually quite realistic looking. Besides freaking out the dogs, I plan on driving it around when friends are over swimming. It has a simple to operate Remote that take 3 AAA batteries. The instructions are confusing because it looks like the alligator head takes 3 AA batteries but it comes with a rechargeable battery..The battery lasts about 20 minutes and it even has a backup battery so about 40 min of playtime all together. It comes with a screwdriver to unscrew the battery cover. The only downside is every time you swap out the battery you have to open the battery cover with a screwdriver. Other then that, this is a fun remote controlled crocodile head that zips around the water. Very amusing and fun!

Got this for my nephew he loved it we took it out to the lake and man did we have fun with this bad boy definitely recommend this product for kids 10 and under.
Hue Somers
I bought this for my son's birthday and he really loves it! My son has been playing this in my private pond. The battery is super easy to charge and the boat is super easy to control!
Aiza Lewis
This is hysterical (great product!!) works well. Looks real. Nice quality, only runs while in water. Charges well and usage time isn’t bad. Great item for pranking anyone near or in water
Lester Holman
Really good quality for a toy tried it out on a swimming pool works the way it's supposed too. Can't wait to try it on the lake.
Alvin Schneider
This had all the hallmarks of looking like a toy that would disappoint. Many of these toys coming from China have scam written all over them. But guess what? This RC alligator works as advertised, is super easy to connect to the remote, and has literally been hours of fun in the pool with my kids aged 9 and 12. Can't say enough about it really. Super fun toy!~
Ralphie Markham
This is the 2nd one I bought. It looks super real! It's easy to handle and there is no real learning curve on how to operate.
When you receive this, keep in mind that it only works once placed in water. I thought I had a defective one at first because it didn't seem to work. We put it in the water and it worked!
Highly recommend!
Catherine Robins
I got this for my 7 yrs old cousin. He started playing with it the same day and was super excited when playing. He had lots of fun with his little brother. Working with the remote control is super easy and kids will learn it after using for a couple of times. Overall, I like it as a great racing boat.
Elif Hayes
This alligator RC boat is so much fun. It is light weight and durable. The head is very realistic and a lot of detail went into it. There are two small propelled on the back that propel and mane auger the alligator. The remote control has a decent range. We have had a lot of fun down at our local lake terrorizing our neighbors
Shelby Povey
Very satisfied with the remote control crocodile boat, the workmanship is very good, the operation is also very simple, the speed in the water is very fast. It's made to simulate the action of a real crocodile, which is very suitable for pranks.
Can Mcfarlane
This crocodile toy boat is also a little realistic, in the swimming pool from a distance looks like a real, very fun, very interesting toy
Lilian Carty
I like this toy. Me and my son took it out at the local pond the other day and It worked well and is easy to operate. My only complaint is that the range is only about 100-150 feet before it loses signal to the boat. Had to wait for the tide to bring it back to shore. I would recommend for the price and fun factor.
Theodora Malone
The box came crushed, the Instructions were broken English and it’s kinda cheaply made. STILL 5 stars. If you are buying this for fun ITS GREAT. Lots of fun and everything I expected.
Lashaunda Willcutt
Original item delivered was missing the battery chanrger for the boat. After contacting the vendor, they were quite responsive and sent an additional unit with the required matter charger in a matter of days. They were professional, courteous, and eager to rectify any issues. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT AND VENDOR!!!
Barry Sweet
The words from my son "this is really cool". This is made from realistic material and is very durable. My son took it out on a lake this weekend and it was a hit with all the other kids. It swims forwards and backwards with no issues and the battery last a long time for a remote controlled boat. Over all we are very happy with this alligator and would definitely recommend it to anyone kids and adults alike
Tye Dillon
Love this! Can’t wait to get a lot of use out of it in the river this summer. It’s much larger than I thought it’d be, and it great quality. It looks realistic and is user friendly. My niece will love using this during the summer to prank people!
Shelbie Hartman
I bought this item to take to the beach for our family vacation. We used it in the pool. The kids and adults both loved it. It controlled smoothly, easy to use and was well made.
Isobelle Parry
Down at the lake, we have new neighbors (renters) we don't care for. They're always drunk and being obnoxious so we're launching this from under our boat dock and running it over towards their fishing poles (we are hiding in close proximity of the alligator head so we're in range of the signal). Works great and looks realistic enough especially when you've had too much alcohol. It's basically an RC boat with a head instead. I hope this is effective in running them off .
Jia Robertson
I got this for my 9 year old nephew for his birthday who wanted a RC boat. He was SO excited about this. It is a great size and looks realistic in the water! It was easy for him to control and he is so happy.
Amelia-Mae Rush
So here the deal. I have checked this out to make sure everything worked as described. And it does, very easy. But... the cost extended time I'm using this is in late spring. See i have 4 grandkids(3 of which are semi young) and we go to a nearby local lake a couple times a year. U HAVE MADE SURE THEY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THIS. im gonna spring it on em when they are on their paddleboards, far from shore. It's gonna be ridiculous watching them. They have never even seen a real gator, let alone in idaho
Dianne Duran
I bought this product as a gift for my brothers birthday because he really wanted a remote control boat... but his favorite animal is an alligator! So this was seriously the perfect gift:) we took it to the lake and he was driving it under our neighbors piers and scaring them lol. He had a blast with it! Great gift idea❤️ It runs super smoothly and it has a pretty long battery life too:) we took it to the beach for the day and it runs well going against the waves too!
Inez Riggs
Why own just an ordinary boat when you can have an alligator, something a little more unique and fun to play with? Sneak down to the valley fishing hole and put this creature in the water when nobody is looking. Ease your way a little closer to get the attention of others. See what kind of reactions you get.
Maxine Mcmahon
This remote controlled head is realistic looking and is made durable material. It’s easy to operate with easy palm controller. It’s incredible good value for the money. I would consider buying again if needed.
Anaya Petty
Excellent customer service! Had a problem with my alligator head it was leaking water into the head. They sent me a replace with no problems! Love this toy!
Zenobia Cayton
I purchased this gator head with the hope that it might fend off the raccoon which likes using our pool as its own private restroom and it seems to be working. It is made of a styrofoam like material and I am not sure how long it will last in a salt chlorinated pool...time will tell. It seems to be keeping the raccoon away so we are happy with our new friend.
Lina Rhymer
The alligator head looks pretty realistic floating around the pond. So far it's been working great to keep the herons away. We had a few birds stop by daily, almost three weeks with the floating gator and no herons. One stopped by the first day, but just started at the pond from a distance and flew off before getting to close. Hopefully it will continue to keep working well.
Cathy Beavers
I put this in the flood waters recently and had the news team calling wanting to interview me about the alligator siting. Too cool
Claudia Szeto
Bought this to use in my canal to hold our sprinkler pipe up. I made my own attachment and it seems to be working great with a nice look.
Cassey Hickerson
I have a pond on the property that is stocked every year with kois. Each year I'm been outsmarted by blue herons. I have to admit that I was skeptical when I purchased the alligator decoy. I haven't seen a single heron since I've installed the decoy. Every other day I move it to another part of the pond. It actually works. On top of that, the decoy is made in the USA.
Shantelle Dubay
Love the alligator lurking in the lily pads in our fish pond. This product is well made. It is very durable and does not tip over.
Suzy Judge
We have 2 fishing ponds. We were having problems with Ducks, Herons, etc, eating all the bait fish.
I've used several other Gator heads with great success, but these are much better, larger, and realistic.
Just remember these are priced "Each"...…
Ginette Moreton
Had been having problems with raccoons using our pool for washing food and as a toilet. Iguanas too! The “Pool Gator” fixed all that right away! No return visitors. The reflective eyes pick up our pool deck lighting and have an evil glow!
Dorothy Bilal
Scares the racoons, and possibly other critters, away from the outdoor swimming pool. Hint: Move it around so they don't get used to it. A weight resting on the bottom of the pool, attached to the Gator with monofilament makes it easy to move around.
Chang Jaime
I put this in my koi pond to stop herons from eating my fish. Scared one of my dogs lol The herons don't venture into the water with this decoy looking at them..have to order another one soon, algae has taken its toll on the paint..put up a don't feed the alligator sign, that and the decoy got some laughs from visitors.. Don't see many gators in upstate ny haha
Germaine Sumlin
i put this alligator in my home pool which was visited by a
bunch of geese that pooped all over the pool and deck.
this alligator in pool solved that problem...
the geese never came back... hooray !!!!
Eugene Ketron
Very realístic; but there is no movement neither a remote control (would be great for prank).
I bought a small remote control boat to go inside It so i get movement.
Jacquetta Ballweg
This was purchased as a thank you gift for a friend who has wanted to have an alligator head by his dock since he built it. He loved it and it gets great reactions from passersby and visitors.
Laveta Savidge
Didn’t think I’d like the red eyes but it’s really cool in the pond. I noticed a little flaking in the paint. Drilled a whole in a rock and tied fishing line to it and the gator and it “swims” around the bank rather then
Lore Merrihew
We had one for many years and it finally broke ....We purchased this new one and it works very effectively. We live in the country and many predators come by seeing if they can take any of our Koi fish. This works very well as it is big and scary.
Jodie Borden
Awesome fake alligator. The paint and "scales" are detailed. Also it seems to be molded plastic not styrofoam. This is the second one I bought. For my pond it is successful of keeping the cranes and geese away.
Rebecka Eaddy
The actual product is much darker than pictured. Only using this product for entertainment only, not ‘shooing’ pond pests. Made of decent material. Perfect for what I’m using it for. Made this into a boat to scare a few swimmers/fishers
Mao Stigall
This alligator keeps birds away from our stocked pond. Worked so good, neighbors bought one too! Floats around pond with the wind. You will need an attached weight. Works very well!
Good neighborhood joke as well.
Otto Keplinger
Great tool for the price. No issues.
Matilda Katzman
Oh my goodness, this thing is horrible looking.....for the world like a lurking gator.
If it doesn't scare away most any predator then they must be blind!!!!!!
Jermaine Fuller
Love this product
Alejandra Purves
Very easy to use

Ok... I did not use this to scare birds but to scare my sons teenage friends while kayaking. Worked great for that! I peeled off the reflective red eye and carefully painted it with black enamel then tied it to my kayak with a long string and watched as my sons teenage friends lost their cool! Well worth it.

We have had a pond for 27 years and up until 5 years ago we never saw a blue heron. However for the last 5 years one shows up around the end of April to early May. We know it has eaten fish before we get our protections out. Usually we cover the pond with a net which we find very detracting from what we wish to see. It does work but it is ugly. We also bought a fake heron this year. We read that the alligator decoy was also a good option. We are willing to try several ideas and alternate them around. This alligator head is the perfect size for our pond. It floats in the center with a weight keeping it in the lily leaves. It also appears to be very realistic. It is made well and was delivered promptly. We were happy to have another choice so as not to use the netting to cover the pond.
Julieta Weatherwax
Very colorful and lifelike. The head was well packed and arrived in excellent condition. I placed it on a rock shelf slightly above the water surface of my pond and it looks like a whole gator is lying there, just waiting for a careless bird to come by and be a tasty snack. We have many cranes and herons in our part of the country, but they stay away from my pond and my fish.
Elvina Ives
Husband said had to put straps on it to hold it in place for it DOES NOT float as stated.Works good that way.Says he is going to put lights in eyes using solar lights bought for dollar. So he has something to tinker with & loves it.
Grazyna Steib
It’s not remote controlled. And the bottom of this head is not cut out if you’re wanting to put a remote controlled boat under it to float in the water and scare people. That’s why we got it. Returned and bought another one.
Bella Shehane
Placed Ali in swamp on the rear of my property to support the irrigation pickup line. Works great for this purpose. As to questions about how well it works in intimidating swamp creatures I noted the following: Ducks and marsh hens continue to give Ali a wide birth and have moved their nesting areas on the opposite shore down 100 '. Neighbors gathered to gawk at the alligator and take pictures. Yesterday a great Herron walking the shore line stopped 10' from Ali and examined it for about 6 minutes then went through a vigorous display to spook the alligator. He then flew 20' over and past the alligator as discretion is the better part of valor. A large green turtle regularly sun bathes on Ali. From this I conclude the smartest of the swamp creatures is the green turtle!
Kimi Summers
We had a crane living on our garage roof gazing hungrily at our (rather expensive) koi in our two ponds (there are about 20 fish). We added the gator head to the pond and the crane departed for less hostile environments. In addition to being an effective predator deterrent, this has served to be a source of amusement for guests who think the disembodied head is merely another yard decoration. I recommend this item as a relatively inexpensive and effective way to protect your koi or other pond creatures.
Izetta Mahaffey
I purchased this a year ago and it's still floating. I use this to connect to the rope I have connected to the aerator on the bottom of my pond. It really looks real and is a lot of fun for the neighbor kids and visitors to see. It is very light and may seem to be cheaply made but it's only a floating decoy for decoration and I found it to serve the exact purpose I wanted. I've never removed it from the pond and it's still holding up great.
Fernando Holl
I always keep one of these in our pool, not to scare off birds, but for fun. They last a year or two, then the rubbing action from getting stuck in the leaf skimmer finally makes them so ugly they get sent to the range. Reuse and recycle, folks. Anyway, they are realistic, not cartoony, so we like them. Pigeons aren't afraid of them, but our dog from Louisiana is nervous around them so I think they evoke bad memories of when he was a stray puppy in the swamp.
