This thing is wonderful - long battery life, auto-feed line, powerful, makes short work of trimming borders and edging around the gardens. The safety lock for the speed control trigger is difficult to use as you must hold it against its spring - tiring on arthritic fingers.

Performs as claimed. Use it to trim sidewalk, wall gaps, and flowerbed edges. Good power so far. Easy to use and control. Would not rate it as a heavy-duty string trimmer, but the convenience for the above uses is worth the price. So far appears to be well designed and effective. Trimming string does not stand up well against abrasive surfaces (such as concrete walls); however, few do. Command feed is very convenient and surpasses the usual "bump" method in convenience.

The package was complete 2 batteries the dual quick charger really does worx lol charges batteries in one hour. The push button battery life indicators are awesome. The push button feed is like wow no bumping to feed line. I opted for replacement pop in cartridges because winding that .80 line then trying to feed it sucks. And the already preloaded cartridges are quick and painless when your sweating out lawn work. The clip on edging wheels make a snap out of making the sidewalk look good and they stay out of the way when not needed in the storage clip. And most importantly it really wack the tough weeds plenty of 40V power no lag plenty of guts even on think high weeds I was pleasantly surprised my 1st electric trimmer.

This looks to be a fine product, but I had some questions and called Worx customer service. Wow! First, they did a call back leave phone number option instead of being placed on hold forever. They called back quickly. The representative actually went and got the same edger so he could give me good instructions and talked me through it. Very pleasant and friendly. Amazing really.

My wife has trouble starting the gas powered trimmer, so I bought this trimmer for her to use. She loves it. It is a bit long for her. We have only used it a few times. But so far, it has been great. I have always had a gas trimmer and never thought a battery trimmer would be powerful enough or have enough battery life. While this trimmer is not as powerful as my gas trimmer and does not last as long on a single charge versus tank of gas, I am very impressed with it. I find myself using it more than the gas trimmer. It only takes an hour to charge the batteries with the double battery charger. There is no hassle or mess with the gas can or starting the trimmer. It cuts the high grass with ease and the batteries are lasting long enough to cut a lot of grass. I still use my gas trimmer when cutting back growth of heavy dense weeds/plants in the woods.

Just received the product in the mail yesterday. Immediately took it out of the box and assembled it. Assembly literally took like 2 minutes. I let the 2 batteries charge 100%, and couldn't wait to use it. I mowed my yard and grabbed this to give it a shot. I was super impressed with the power it has, although it shoots debris everywhere due to the guard not fully covering the string area. The blade to cut the excess string is a good idea as well. The transition from trimmer to edger is super easy and the edger works great! I have had other Worx brand products and have always had good luck with them. Definitely worth the buy in my opinion. My yard and sidewalks look so much better!

We live on a farm and have a large yard. My husband has a gas powered trimmer, but I absolutely hated that thing. I wanted to be able to quickly edge around the front steps, garden beds, etc. without the whole rigamarole to get the gas trimmer gassed up and cranked. This Worx Grass Trimmer is my new favorite toy. I have it on my back porch and grab it and go! I was able to weed eat around our pond, front steps and raised garden bed on one charge. Great product so far. Hoping the batteries hold out!

Let me start by saying I've only used troy built gas lawn equipment but my weed eater just died so I had to find a replacement. That being said this weed eater has almost as much power as a gas one! Wasn't sure how I'd like the edger function but I've got to say it's pretty awesome, takes a bit to get used to but it worked great! My wife bought me the corded blower last year so I figured what the heck I'll get the battery powered weed eater. Now im telling myself I'm about to get the worx mower! Do yourself a favor and cut the crazy nose and stinky gas out of the equation! Worx is the only way to go!

I liked the versatility and ease of use. There is not anything I can say that I dislike. OK, one add on would have been great which is a front light because I like to work at night.

It is a powerful tool. It works well and it is easy to use. The batteries don't last long, less than 30 minutes, but that is ok for me.
The original spool is the only issue I found. It is weird that they include a poorly winded string with a good quality tool. It doesn't make sense to spoil the reputation of the product because of the string they include with the tool.

I've used this weed wacker/trimmer 3 times. So far so good. I'm still getting used to the feeling of it. I have a third of an acre of property with trees, sidewalks, and some landscaping to trim and edge. I used it on everything I could find and the batteries died with about 10 feet left. I'd call that a win. I think the release on the trimmer for the string let's out just a little too much as it hits the side of the guard the first couple of spins. Other than that I like it! I'll update how long it takes for the battery life to slow down. I'm sure it'll be a couple of years, I hope.

This is my first battery powered edger/trimmer and I love it. I have around .25 acre and I can edge/trim along the house, fence and sidewalk on a full charge. I do recommend charging the batteries before/after every use. Also, you don't have a sore back like all the gas trimmers I have used being 6'4". Easy handle adjustment, it isn't the lightest but I wish they made shoulder strap you could throw on. I found out it takes a couple times of use to get comfortable with the auto string feeder and adjusting for the edging capabilities.

This is easy to use. I abused this thing when I rented a trailer in the middle of no where. As a single income mom I couldn’t afford a lawn mower so I used this to cut my yard. This is the best weed eater I’ve own thus far. Buy another battery kit to make it even more efficient.

I had owned an Echo, high-priced gas dual line trimmer. I got tired of mixing gas and oil, yanking the pull cord, trying to figure out the feed system. So I bought this. Charge the batteries, slide them into the head, and you are ready to work, It does a great job trimming, the cartidges are easy to use to feed more line, but where it really excels is the edging using the wheels that attach to the side. The one negative is that the battery life is not too good, about a half hour or so, so buy 2 extra batteries and keep them charged,

If you have a large area to do, make sure to have extra batteries so you don't get frustrated halfway through. I find this a lot less of a hassle than the gas weed whackers. I don't have any issues starting it... not going back to gas!

It takes weed whipping and makes it fun again, lol, but seriously this brand is probably one of the best I've owned. Pretty underrated. The battery doesn't last as long as you would think having to have two to function. Overall 5 stars because the electric weed whips are finally able to compete with the gas models. Previous electric one's I've owned just don't cut it (pun intended) ;). I love the auto feed function! Also the unit/batteries the gauged remaining power left is awesome.

This is a little heavy for me. I’m 5’ tall but no weakling and this is tiring to run for long periods. I thought I was getting two batteries so one could charge while I used the other but it takes both batteries to run it. Run time isn’t so bad if you use it with the trigger half depressed. Full power will run out fast. I like the string advance feature. All in all it does the job.

I have a 1 acre yard with a lot of beds, and I am able to do just about the entire yard on a single charge. I purchased a couple extra batteries, and the change-out is quick and easy. The dual edging and trimming feature is excellent. The unit is lightweight and easy to use. Great purchase.

Excellent edge - the wheels not only help guide the trimmer but they also take up most of the weight. I was able to quickly edge and trim my yard and being cordless was a great help. The batteries are interchangeable with my leaf blower and hedge trimmer

Used for my yard . Batteries that came with it don’t last very long . I ordered the upgraded battery that are 4.0 each . There expensive but this should have had option to buy either battery. Love the weight of trimmer and way it works . The pop in spools do not fit .

Good for a small yard but mine did not last I broke the little orange piece on the trimmer head that is used to release the string by accidentally hitting a culvert with it. Couldn't get the string to release on it's own and you can't buy parts for it. So into the trash the 3 month old went...

I did alot of research before making this purchase. Once I received I was excited to use. Charged the batteries overnight and only got 30 mins of work done before having to charge the batteries again. Don't get me wrong the power is there but I recommend you get extra batteries if you want to use this for more than 30 mins at a time.

I like that it is both an edger and a trimmer. And both work well. I was looking for an edger. I had a trimmer, albeit the battery life was poor. I came across this edger/trimmer. Great tool. The first time I used it, I did my entire lawn, all my sidewalks and patio with the edger; it was still running. Took it up into my vegetable garden. Cleaned up all the walkways; it just would not run out of battery. It does not feel heavy duty; a lot of plastic parts. But seems to handle my residential needs. Love this edger/trimmer!
