"Halo" allows our blind canine to have more freedom to navigate the house and gardens more safely. For example, no longer does she bump her face on table or chair legs. Velcro makes it easy to secure comfortably to her neck and chest. It must be comfortable, she even went to sleep wearing it. She regained some weight loss so this purchase was for the next larger size.

Prior to getting this I would be in the other room and hear a loud bang as my dog would just ram her head into the wall. One day when I came home I found a big gash on her head from where she got her head jammed under a desk. Now I can leave the house without worrying she is going to get her head stuck under something. This harness is very mobile and won't restrict your dog's movement. My dog doesn't mind getting harnessed up at all.

We have tried all the major halo brands on the market, and then we found this one. It is perfect for our 15 pound dog. I noticed other reviews about sizing issue. They have accurate sizing for neck and girth measurements that need to be used, not just the weight of the dog.

This halo gives my little blind dog his freedom back. He had to have one eye removed due to a ruptured ulcer he developed from constantly bumping into chair legs and, well, everything. The cone is only on because he just had the eye removal surgery. This halo is a should be on every visual impaired animal if possible!!!

I find this much better for the dog's ability to sniff when we go for a walk. It doesn't bounce around like people with foam do. She gained confidence when she walked for the first time using this aura. She's only been using one for about a week now but has adjusted quickly. The halo can be easily molded for the perfect fit and can be changed if your pet's needs change. I'll upload a video of the hike tomorrow, my girl strutting her tail high and walking fast! This product was such a relief for my baby. I adopted a 16 year old Maltese that had one eye and was turned into the Humane Society as he was I’ll. We found he had cushings disease and that’s why he lost one eye and was losing the second. My vet recommended euthanasia as my little dog was struggling with walking around and could injure his eye or face. I could not bear to do that as he was so loving. I’m blessed to have found this website and this product. I tried this on my dog. It fit beautifully and after he figured out what it was he now walks around my house with confidence and is learning the layout. I leave him with it in when I go to work and he can roam around find his food and water and even motor around my fenced yard. He is living a happy life as an old man and is recovering from being abandoned by his prior owner. He fits into my pack and is now able to engage with them with no fear. This is a great product. Our little blind Schnauzer, Brigit, needed something to protect her face when she bonked into things. We are careful not to change her normal paths so this is minimized but you can't stop it completely from happening. In new situations or when there is a lot of activity at home, this is a great piece of protection. After just a few minutes she was maneuvering around very comfortably. It is easily adjusted for angle and fits her perfectly. The soft cushion behind her head is sturdy, attractive and holds the halo steady, plus she looks adorable. Easy to install, super light (dog weighs 11 lbs), well made. After a few hours of getting used to the Halo, our dog was confidently walking around the house. Yes, she still bumps into things, but the Halo minimizes the number of times her nose gets bashed by a hard surface as it provides an early 'warning' that a hard surface is ahead. I wish we had found this item 6 months earlier when our Cocker Spaniel first went blind. Dickens got his halo yesterday and he is now back to his active, sniffing self. Prior to the halo, he navigated slowly around the house, fearful of bonking his head. He no longer explored the yard, sniffing out the squirrels. I was constantly on the alert watching for him and trying to protect him, which was very stressful and exhausting for me. He did a lot of laying around the house being mopey, too. This is such a great help. So lucky to have found them online! It does tend to loosen up a bit from all the bumping the pet will do, so just make sure to tighten up the Velcro when you see it tilting down. That is not a downfall to this product, simply something that you can attend to and be aware of so that your pet doesn’t get hurt. I would buy another one if I had to. I’m so happy with the results

My 11-pound little nugget is almost completely blind due to a genetic defect with his lenses. He is only 8 so still really spunky and excitable and runs head first into everything... it is so sad!! This halo has changed his life. He still runs full speed so he bends the halo a lot but it easily goes back with minimal adjustments. He can now run around the dog park again and enjoy life much more without as many head smacks. Other dogs get the halo in their face a lot but they don't really seem to mind. One thing I might suggest for a change is making the halo slightly larger or having 3 sizes rather than 2 in the box.

My dog will not need it after all, because after his procedure, his vision was not as challenged as we thought it would be. Easy to put on and take off. Two different sizes for the plastic ring for eye protection. It’s well made and durable. We’ve been using ours for three months. My Boston Terrier learned quickly when she ran into something with the plastic ring. The white color makes it easier to see her in the dark.

The minute I put on the halo Button who's been walking around rather slowly because she's walking into walls takes off trotting through the house its like she has a new found security. This is the best thing I have ever seen and I was so surprised that she liked it so quickly. button is a 15 year old stubborn Pomeranian but like I said with no hesitation started walking around and running like she had a sight back.

I have a 17 year old bichon (Tommy) who has had many health issues over the past two years related to kidney failure. He is almost totally deaf and has just enough vision left to be fearful when objects (even my hands) get too close to his face. Since around January 2014, because of worsening vision loss, Tommy stopped wanting to take walks, one of his primary pleasures in life. He also restricted his movements indoors, primarily staying in one room when he once enjoyed moving from bed to bed throughout the day. It was very sad to watch his world shrinking.

I was devastated when my 14-year-old Yorkie lost sight in both eyes within a one-month period of time. His activity went from being very playful and active to being afraid to walk around in fear of running into things. Muffins Halo gave him the confidence to get back on his feet and re-discover his environment safely. As my yorkie is only 3 1/2 pounds, I found it very helpful to keep a little jacket with a collar on him and then put the halo with harness over it to keep it from sliding. It is very lightweight and the "wings" are foam so it seems very comfortable for him. He is even able to eat & drink water while wearing it. One word of caution is to be careful if you have any cabinet door handles or long open ended handles as my little one's halo got caught on the bottom of a portable beverage refrigerator door handle. Not a bad idea to keep them confined to one "safe" room when you're not home.

It’s only been two days, but the difference in my 13 year old shih tzu is remarkable. She’s only recently been diagnosed with progressive retinal atrophy and although she is cared for by an ophthalmologist and takes eye vitamins, she can only see shapes in the light and worsens in darkness. She has a new confidence to move about and explore, which she hasn’t wanted to do a lot of recently as she is bumping into things more lately. So far so good. And the Velcro makes it so easy to adjust the angle of the halo. Gonna order another- this has been a stress saver and has prevented further injuries.
