Makes a huge difference. We can actually look outside now without squinting. It is a little frustrating to install. You will need a big squiggly, and soapy water. But you can peel it off and put it back on as many times as you need to. Although it came nicely packed, it was bent a little. It got all smooth once I put it on the window. A difference in temperature can be felt close to the window.

I bought this to put on my window at work because people walk by see me at my desk and can't resist knocking on the glass to have a conversation. The film was large enough to do both the upper and lower panes of my window but installation is not for the faint of heart. Anyone who has done film based products for glass knows this is not unusual and if you don't have plenty of water and a squeegee you aren't prepared for install. Read the other reviews - they call complain of difficult to install.. This is why people hire professionals for stuff like this - its not super easy.
Tip - make sure you are getting the bubbles out as best you can AS YOU GO. 2nd tip - this product can be released and re-applied several times with no ill effects. I realized i had cut it a little long and it was an easy fix. You can also cut the extra with an Xacto during install.
Bottom line - Take your time, have the tools, and when you are done admire the work. Don't rush and remember not to rush with the squeegee as pressing to hard and being careless can result in a rip (although this film is pretty robust. Enjoy!

This stuff sticks upside down and has cooled our upstairs dramatically!
Our AC does not do a good job of cooling 2nd floor. Our first floor is freezing and the top floor is humid. This was until I covered several skylights with this stuff. Still, upstairs is considerably warmer it is not unbearable. We've had 100 degree days and with the AC, it was workable upstairs. In the past this was not so. I think the thinner these films the better in terms of using upside down on skylights.

If you are looking for some window films that for UV protection and privacy control, this does the job so far.
It instantly darkens my room a lot as there is very limited light. My glasses have UV protection and would transit to a darker color when exposed to sunlight. Even there is no sunlight directly shining into my room, my glasses turn dark. After the installation, my glasses become normal. I went outside to take a look and completely cannot view what's inside.
I wish I can still see through more and the screen film is less dark as I enjoy brightness.
But it's quite painful to install as it's hard to remove the bubbles. You have to buy a squeegee. I had to run to the store and get the squeegee. I am not sure how long it would last as I just installed it yet.

I have a front door with a glass insert that faces east. The amount of sunlight coming through it in the mornings was driving my wife crazy. I decided to try this tint with the UV protection because I also wanted to hang our diplomas by the front door area as well.
The package arrived securely wrapped up, following the instructions to install it were pretty straightforward. There were no surprises, and after a couple days drying time, the bubbles that were there, disappeared. I posted two pictures, first one was of the glass with the tint on it, the second I included a top and bottom glass to show the reduction in the amount of light that it blocks. I hope this review is helpful to someone.

I have a little bathroom that we put the dog in when we leave the house. I took down the blinds so he wouldn't mess with them, but I still wanted something that would give me a little privacy. This is a great alternative to curtains, because it blocks a lot of light and no one can see in anymore. I wasn't really expecting this, but it actually makes the room cooler because it blocks light and heat. It reminds me of tinted windows in a car.
It was also very easy to install. I was expecting some kind of adhesive, but it works with static cling. All I needed to do was spray the window with soapy water and the film clung to the glass perfectly. The best part is that I can easily remove or adjust it when I had air bubbles or got it on crooked.

I had enough of this to put on more than one window. The trickiest part is separating the protective film from the window film itself....you have to be really careful with the protective film....it's VERY sticky! Peel it off with care and get it out of the way or you will have a mess if it sticks back onto the window film. Otherwise, if the directions are carefully followed... it will work like the video shows. .it looks great and works to block out strong sunlight. I'm happy with this product.

This was pretty easy for my husband to install on his own. We got the spray kit with a scrapper to use to with the film installation. Prior to installing he measured, cleaned, and prepped a the window as recommended.He had no problem positioning the film on the window, nor pushing out the air bubbles that formed. This is a solution to a door window where privacy was needed but blinds could not be used or insane because of the size.Good product looks and works as described.

I've been looking for something like this for the bottom portion of our bedroom windows, and this worked out just perfect. It is a bit messy to install, but once you get the hang of it , it's not too bad. But be sure you get all the air bubbles out and get it smoothed down well before you cut the edges to size, and that you use a good, SHARP blade... It will give you a better edge, and keep things from sliding around on you. It seems to be sticking well so far, and helps block people from seeing in during the day light hours.

Living in first floor and lots of traffic don't know why I didn't think about using stuff like that long ago. If you need light in your place during the day and still have some privacy I would recommend it. Easy to install on clean, wet windows and it is not such noticeable from outside that you are considering. Most importantly great response by other consumers and their customer service if you have questions. Win win purchase.

I love our new UV blocking film, but installing was harder than expected. The directions included are not very detailed so definitely look up some how to videos on YouTube before starting. Have all your tools handy, a helper is nice and use lots of soapy water!
I’m happy with the finished result on our west facing window wall and south facing French doors though I got better at applying the film as I worked. It seems to help block some of the heat in the evening though I’m not sure how effective it is for privacy at night. That is not a concern for me, but may be for others.
The first picture has only a few windows done. The second has all the lower windows but not the top arch (haven’t done that one yet!). You can really tell the difference!

I got this for a southern facing window where the heat blares in all day long. I just remodeled my kitchen and didn't want the uv light damaging my new cabinets like they did the old ones. I can't believe the difference. I just ordered more so I could do my west facing screen door. It is a little harder to apply since it is quite sticky for a cling. But otherwise it seems great!

We have a backsplash window in the kitchen that faces the neighbor.....and since we wanted a modern, contemporary look....I did not want to put curtains or blinds in the small narrow opening of the window....This product is so beautiful and gorgeous....made the kitchen look even more sexier! lol It was not easy to install it took my husband and I about 1 hour to complete.....taking the bubbles out was a bit of a challenge....but at the end it came out beautiful. I did not give a rating for easy to remove....because I did not have to remove it.

I am very happy with this purchase. It was easy to apply and does the job well. Working from home since March, my office desk is exactly where I want it, right in front of the window. I have a great view in front of me, but the brightness of daylight shining in (not direct sun) was giving me headaches even with my tinted glasses. This film was perfect to cut down on the extreme brightness but in no way impeded mybeautiful view.

I've tried using similar film before and was dreading having to apply it again on my new windows. I was really pleasantly surprised how easy it was to apply smoothly. The key is to spray until the entire surface is dripping wet and then it slides right on. The little bubbles I had all disappeared within a few days so it's hard to tell there's anything even there and works great during the day and I can just use sheer curtains at night,

It definitely reflects so people can’t look in during the day but the sunlight still comes in and is very bright. I got this because the sun shines through my window and causes migraines but this only helped a little. It’s difficult to put on.. even after cleaning the windows little fibers got on the glass that made it really bubbly. I’d probably recommend getting a deeper tent.

Wow, this is some sort of magical window film. I've never installed any window film with this ease. One huge positive point is that there's no way you'll end up doing it wrong or to damage it.
Specially video of installation has made it 5 times easier to understand the process.

I ordered two of these for my back door windows. They are long but not real wide. The videos made it look so easy to install but I had a time trying to trim off excess and removing all the bubbles. This was my first try so maybe with practice it would be easier. All in all it didn’t take a long time and I learned from the first one to precut before I put up the second. It does what I needit to but wouldn’t mind trying it again one day. I do recommend using a hand squeegee. Works better than the plastic scraper.

I added this to my garage side door so that I could take down the curtains. Being able to look out of window but not being able to look into garage was the goal. I also added to the window in the garage since I had plenty left after putting up on door and took curtains down from the window.
I used lots of soapy water as suggested in the directions and a squeegee that we use in our shower to get the bubbles out of the film. I precut the film and left about a 1/8 inch of space around the window. Maybe in another area I may of been more picky but, it's the garage! Having the right tools on hand make a big difference.
I have installed this type of film before and cut right to the window edge with a utility knife after it is up and a metal straight edge.

It does what is says; I can look out from inside but from the outside, it is a mirror. The backing is difficult to remove but if you work at it it will come off and will stick to the window easily. I bought it for a 9 pane garage window and found it easier to cut the pane a bit bigger and to cut it to fit once it was on the window rather than cutting it to the exact pane measurements.

This product was very easy to install and has reduced the heat coming through my sliding glass doors tremendously. I can now open my curtains and still get natural light in but also have privacy at the same time. Shipped and arrived very fast. This film works exactly as described by seller. Once cut it is easy to install and can be lifted and removed and reset, if necessary. Cutting the film to the right size is the most important step. It immediately lowered the temperature of the room where applied but was easy to see through from the interior to the outside. I would definitely buy again. Thanks!

This product work! I must confess that I didn't order enough to do two windows like I wanted, so I only applied the film to the top portion of both windows. Just doing that reduced the heat in my bedroom approximately 10 degrees! My bedroom is in the front of the house and gets all of the days heat. I should have did this a long time ago!!
I only negative thing to add is it was very difficult to remove the backing from the film. Once the backing was initially separated, it was easy peeling the rest of it off. Getting it started was the most difficult.

Works well. Its nicer than the product from homedepot because, it is thinner and more clear. Buy the application kit from homedepot it works great with this film. Next time I will just but the standard tinted film and not the mirrored film.

This window film is perfect for privacy with living in a neighborhood! It only took a few minutes to apply it after measuring and cutting! This product works very well, two people with coordination makes the install fairly easy, just be patient with the process. We used on partner’s front windows looking out at the street, and it provides great mirror reflection on the outside, easy viewing from the inside. I just installed this on my front door glass. I did it by myself but suggest you have a helper. Obviously this review is for novices like me. Definitely get an installation kit, or make sure you have the proper tools, and an empty spray bottle.

I used this for my office to block people from being able to see into my building. There was a little bit of a learning curve in figuring out how to effectively apply the film, but I was a pro by the end. I covered the bottom of about 6 double pane windows and had a little left over. I was really happy with the price and coverage of the material. You can definitely tell that there is a treatment on the window from the street but it doesn't look cheap or tacky in my opinion.

We have a west facing dining/living room but we often leave the sliding glass door blinds open to watch the kids or animals outside - this caused a lot of unnecessary heat and brightness. Great for maximum cutting of the amount of light and helping heat transfer. If you want to refuce heat but not light use plain mirror tint. Film has some imperfections in grade very minor distortion. If your windows dont have to be perfect this is a great product. You will make your own imperfections on install. Follow instructions. Once you do one window it gets easier, you need a spray bottle, soap, razor blade, razor blade cutter, measuring tape, a squeege, lint free towel, and a plastic putty knife.

Tint worked as described. I used soapy water instead of plain water so squeegee can slide smoothly without damaging film. The squeegee tool mentioned in instructions as included, wasn't included.

Purchased this for my office windows that look into a lobby. Only works if it is really bright in the lobby (meaning florescent lighting and sun shining directly in room). Hard it install, and scratches and stretches (look bad) easily if you are not careful while tring to get bubbles out
