I was waiting for something like that for a long time! Most of the pooper scoopers are too big for my little Pomeranian. Adding a collapsible part is a pretty smart idea! I don’t have to extend it, so it will work well for larger breeds too without being too big.

Wish I had invented this myself. Just ordered another. Our dog comes to work with us so I bought one for work and have ordered another for home. Genius invention. I am so queasy around poo that my husband points and laughs. I have actually run and vomited in bushes at work. I look like an insane person with a great pouch strapped on and this on the leash. I bought a bigger carabiner to attach it. Don’t care if I look insane. This is the only scooper that I can handle using as it “hides” the poo as you scoop it. Literally a game changer.

I have no clue why more people don't know about this little device. It's seriously life changing. Get the bag set up before your walk and you will save so much time and its WAY less gross than scooping with your hand in a baggie. I have two chihuahuas and use the medium scooper to scoop for them both. Their poops are pretty small so they both fit without wasting two bags. I love that you can simply drop it in the grabage directly from the scooper when the walk is over. If you have a dog, you NEED this. I wanted the size small, which was out of stock, and I love this tool so much I don't mind having the medium and will probably still purchase the small size when it restocks in the future. I used to be so afraid of poop scooping - and now I do it like a pro. LOL

I love this product, it is well engineered and I think it should last a long time. I have two dogs. One is 12 pounds and one is 100 pounds. I can pick up the little one's poo with just a plastic poop bag. The big one grosses me out. If you don't have a yard where they can go, this is a must have. I've seen a lot of comments about the bags. The ones that come with it are great, but the plastic grocery bags work just fine. The only negative I find is the do-hickey that attaches it to the leash could be larger, at least for the large size. The big dog has a thick leash and it doesn't fit.

This is super easy to use, and makes walks much more enjoyable! Once my dog goes, I can scoop it up with this and tie the bag, and just leave the full bag inside the clamp. That way I don’t have to carry, or smell, a bag of poop for the rest of the walk. When I do get to a trash can, I don’t even have to touch the bag! I just open the clamp over the trash and the whole bag falls right out. This is honestly a game changer!

Been using this for a while now, in the large size, as I have a Boxer.
It works well. I can pick up sometimes 4 separate poops in one bag (I usually go around the yard once a day).
When I ran out of the bags that came with it, I found that standard plastic grocery bags work just fine, and everyone has a ton of them under their sink.
The only thing it has a hard time with, ia what every scooper has a hard time with, which is tall grass,especially if the poop is still moist.

This is what I like about it:
1) They made it as small a possible but it is still effective.
2) The expansion chamber.
3) The built in bag storage.
4) The leash clip.
5) If used properly, everything stays clean (except the inside of the bag).
6) Spring loaded jaws make the job easier.
I bought this because I had a difficult time bending over far enough to pick up the poop off the ground with just a bag. This gives me just enough extra reach to make an unpleasant job easy.

Well worth the money. The bags that come with it are the biggest I've seen. It carries the bags and it's a place to carry the poop until we come to a trashcan. My dog always seems to go the furthest distance from a can and it is great to not have to carry it. I just pick up the , knot the bag and tuck in the scoop. When I get to the can I just open and it drops out. You can use it to scoop to pick up the but I find it easier to just normal pick it up, knot the bag and tuck in. Only thing I had to hack was using a hair tie to connect the caribiner to my retractable leash since the handle was too big for the caribiner, but that was an easy fix. I'm super happy with it.

I didn’t want to carry around a long handled pooper scooper so I bought this.
Really love it. It’s compact, can clip on a leash or attach to doggie saddlebags.
We bought the large version (obviously). It comes with one roll of bags. These bags are much larger than standard bags. You’ll need to order their branded jumbo bags if you want replacements that are just as big and fit into the built in dispenser. You can use grocery plastic sacks of you want, but I preferred something more compact to carry. Makes walking the dog a total joy!

This is the best gadget I have bought in a while! Worst part about taking my dogs for a walk is the squish poop I have to try and pick up and fumble with the bag hopefully not wearing the poo while tying up the bag.... this pooper scooper in the go makes pick up so much easier and you tie it off and it gets carried inside the device so really no smell and no disgusting bag to look at. Much easier to clean up if in the grass vs roadside but this dog buddy will definitely be your buddy! I love that it clips onto my double leash- I don’t even carry it - the bag roll is inside hidden compartment. Plus the poop holder expands for the bigger or double duty

Works well with most refill bags that I found in internet searches. The refills that are 1.5 inches long fit well. The large Scooper works very well and has plenty of capacity for large loads. The bags are thin, but strong. My previous purchase was for the small Scooper. It is perfect for my small (10 lb.) dog. It's bags are smaller than those for the large Scooper. Unfortunately, refills of the small bag are not available on Amazon and I could not find a suitable small size after searching the internet. That's why I bought the large Scooper. I'd love to learn when the small "Nano" refills will be available again. It noticed that some reviews of the Scooper mentioned that it was difficult to tear the bags from the dispenser. I found that if I use two hands and steady the bag at the tear line, that tearing the new bag free is easy.

I recommend this if you have a weak stomach and are already familiar with your puppies poop. Get familiar wi th your dog’s poop before you get something like this because you won’t be able to tell if there’s any oddities. It really removes the poop from the equation lol. And its very simple to use, on rainy days, on grass, anywhere, it doesn’t matter. I can pick it up and good. When I’m done, I just tuck it into my bag or put it back on the leash. And the size I got is big enough to cover most big poops my medium size dog makes so it’s awesome. You won’t have to smell all that grossness or feel it until you take it off this thing if you don’t want. Definitely worth it. Will add photos next or video.

Best dog walker tool ever! I recently started to do some freelance dog walking and was looking for pooper scooper that would be easy to carry along and what would do the "job". After reviewing different options online I decided to purchase DogBuddy Pooper Scooper and could not be happier. It is light, easy to carry along, has a spot slot of poop bags and most importantly it is great tool to pick up after dog. Scooper is expandable for "bigger" scoop and it has hook that can be use do hook it either to bag or belt. I get a lot of positive comments from other dog walkers/dog owners about the scooper.
I would strongly recommend that scooper as it is light, versatile and convenient to take to dog walks.

We have a fire ant infestation in the area, and they seem to love dog poop, so I am able to get it cleaned up fast from the backyard without coming in contact with the ants. That alone is so worth it.
Don't have to touch the yucky stuff anymore. Easy to carry along to the dog park and on walks. The stuff never touches the scooper - only the bag liner, so scooper stays clean.
Looks like I'll have several choices of replacement bag types that will work - even recycled ones.

This is an awesome pooper scooper! It is compact and durable! I love how easy it is to use the disposable bags (I buy those at the dollar store - 3 in a package), or it even works well with disposable plastic shopping bags. It is great because in cases where I am not near a trash bin, the contents are safely stored inside a bag in the pooper scooper and I tie the bag while it is still closed, and then just release the bag into the garbage without ever needing to touch the bag other than tying it off.

This is one of the best items I have purchased since getting a dog. It is a great sanitary way to pick up after your dogs and helps eliminate odors while you are walking them. It hooks directly unto the leash with a carabiner clip. This scooper has a bag holder that dispenses one bag at a time making for quick refills. The only problem we had with his product is that the carabiner clip broke after only two months of use.

It's small and easy to carry. You can clip it to your dogs 'go bag' or the end of their leash. With this design you can have the bag tied shut before opening the cup lid. You could dump directly into trash bin from the cup. This scooper is small trash bag friendly, and very easy to prep and secure by tucking the bag ends in the rubber clip section of the handle. I came back to buy another one to leave in the car.

So far it's been great. It scoops on grass better than with my hand in a bag, and it stays clean. It does need rather large bags to be able to open fully, so we'll see how that goes when I run out of the provided bags. I checked with off-brand 9 x 13 bags, and it fits but doesn't open all the way. I've only had it for a few days, so I'm not sure about longevity.
Update 1/2018: I’ve now had this scooper for 3 months and I love it still. Picking up poo during the artic frost of the past month was SO MUCH BETTER when I could leave my gloves on. And, the dollar store sells 4-gal bags that are the perfect size. And at 50 bags for 1, unbeatable

If you own a dog, buy this without thinking about it. You'll thank me later. I don't leave reviews often, and I never thought I'd be leaving a review on a pooper scooper, but never-say-never, right? I have 3 cats and religiously clean their litter box, without any issues. For some reason, dog poop I just can't do. I lived in fear when I took the dog on a walk that she would go on our walk and I"d make a spectacle of myself in front of the neighbors. When we walked, I'd keep her always moving never giving her a chance to stop for anything. We were both miserable.
Then, I found this gem - how does Amazon even know what I need before I do? When she goes, I just put the bag in and scoop and seal. It's that easy. Literally, don't even really have to look at it. And I love that once I've tied the not, it's securely in the scoop, which means I come home and just drop it in the trash can. While our walks are only about 30 minutes, in those 30 minutes I can't even smell it. (I'm sure longer periods of time and/or depending on your breed/dog size may cause variations.) But seriously, this thing is amazing! I love how it also has the clip, I can just clip to the leash and go. It's so fast and easy!
Two comments, that are in no way complaints, just things that I wish if the seller makes a newer model they take into consideration:
1) The clip that holds the bags doesn't always stay put. Sometimes, when I pull a bag out, the door opens. No big deal, and it seriously requires almost no extra effort to just hold it closed, but maybe a more secure clip could be used next time. (But I love that this thing also holds bags! They have literally thought of everything!)
2) I have a puppy, who will grow into a large dog. I bought the large size, which I think will be large enough to hold the waste, but I worry that the actual gap opening might not be wide enough. On another model, I'd love to see a wider 'gap' to position over the poop.
But seriously, if you own a dog, buy this. It is 15 dollars well spent!

Get this product. We got the "large" size of the Dogbuddy pooper scooper. It's not very big. But it is perfect. About the size of a large pancake, but not the size of a dinner plate. Anyway, we are taking care of someone else's dog for a while. He's a sweet natured American Staffordshire Terrier but he is a poop factory. At first, We were just using grocery plastic bags like we use for our Yorky, but this dog... well everything is on a grand scale. Even with a plastic bag around your hand the bathroom breaks on the daily walks were the most disgusting part of the day. This pooper scooper has saved our sanity. Prepare by putting the whole contraption inside a fresh supplied plastic bag (more about that later), open the jaw of the scooper, and push some of the bottom of bag up into the "mouth" of the scooper. When it's time, open the jaws wide, push down around the poop (press firmly against the ground) and let the spring powered jaws close. You really only get "one bite at the apple" because if you open for a second bite, everything you got the first time will fall out. So, you will develop your technique rather quickly. Now everything is trapped inside the bag which is partially stuffed inside the jaws. No smell, no touching anything. With the jaws still closed, Peel the bag down so that the scooper is now visible and tie off the bag. You can still leave the jaws closed until you get to the garbage can. Open the jaws wide and drop it in the can. WAYYYYYYY better experience by using this product. Warning though: if you get the "large" size of this scooper, which I recommend anyway, don't buy the replacement bags (Earth Rated Dog Poop Bags) you will see in the "items often bought together with this product. They are about 9" x 13" and too small. You will be able to squeeze the scooper inside the bag, but you won't be able to stuff any loose bag into the mouth of the scooper, the bag is too small for that. These 9" x 13" replacement bags might be good for the small size of this pooper scooper but but not the large size. Rather, get the replacement bags made by the manufacturer of the scooper, the DogBuddy Pooper Scooper Refill Bags LARGE size. Then you will be set. Get this product!!!! This gadget works.

Never thought I'd leave a review for a pooper scooper, but here I am. I've got an 85lb greyhound who leaves a lot behind (with a smell worse than your average pup) and it grosses me out, plain and simple. This makes it manageable. It's just well engineered and I'm amazed there aren't more like it on the market. Everything from the bag storage to the expandable side (which really stays in place well) was just thought out well. Nothing will help the smell, but this is a whole lot better than touching it through a bag with my hand. I hope it lasts a long time!
