I have a twisted beam that I needed to plane the rotated corner off of so that the corner trim of the house would lay flat. Bad part was painted, paint being basically colored dirt with a binder--very abrasive. This allowed me to remove about 2 sq ft of painted wood in a tapered piece up to 1/2 inch thick. by that point was no longer cutting. could be re-sharpeded, but decided to just get another for the price to do the other end of the beam. Don't know what else would have worked.

This disk works great for cutting and grooving wood. With that being said, be very careful when using it because it can be very dangerous if the disk catches and jumps back at you. This could result is serious injury. I would not recommend using this on a grinder that has a locking on and off switch. If it is used with caution it is a great accessory for wood working

This thing was just what I was looking for to rough up my barn wood mantle. Cuts like a chainsaw, with the maneuverability of an angle grinder. The plastic center part that ships with it is what holds the 3 pieces together. This must be removed in order to mount it on the angle grinder. This means that you have to align 3 separate pieces (top metal holder, bottom metal holder, center cutting chain) onto the grinder. Not too hard to do, but I can see losing one of these pieces rendering the entire thing useless. Wish they all rode on a center bearing or something to lock all parts together into

This is a scary tool that demands proper safety gear and respect when using it. Use with caution and it will remove wood quickly and efficiently. Great device to enable an angle grinder to be converted into a serious carving tool. I used it carve a bathroom basin out of an old wood stump! I like it a lot and will buy more for gifts for my woodworking friends.

Great little product. I had an awkward stump problem involving a tree stump. An axe and chain saw were not too effective. This little disc cleared the problem in about an hour, after literally hours beforehand. The little clips are useful in holding double discs, while installing in hand grinder.

This thing does exactly what it's supposed to do! It chews up wood like nobody's business. Definitely wear protective gear, though, and keep a firm grip - it IS a chainsaw blade, after all, just on a smaller scale. I had no trouble carving out recesses in a large Catalpa tree stump to use as a planter, after a bit of getting used to how it likes to cut, how to hold the grinder, angle, etc. A very useful tool if you're needing to power carve large areas. It's definitely a bit to course for delicate carving, but for wholesale material removal, it's gangbusters.

Used it for making a kuksa and a few other projects out of a hardwood. Make no mistake it is an extremely aggressive wheel. Great for shaping wood but use with caution. Do not use it without protective gear as it essentially is a chainsaw blade.

Cuts good, but it's a tad challenging to install on the grinder. The flange nut that comes with the angle grinder is what holds this blade together. The chain flops about very easily when trying to tighten the nut

Love this item. I tested it on a flag build that the stain bleed to much on. And it is hard to control a straight line due to speed of blade. But will work amazing for rough carve outs. The blade has 2 clips on it when I took it out of the package. It came apart lol. Easy to put back together. It is 3 pieces, chain and 2 plates. I did get some kick back wen I got comfortable with it and tried to cut into a log at an angle but it happens. Definitely recommend this item. I will definitely order this item again when I have to replace it. I do recommend taking the clips off so you know how it is p

This worked well for my needs. Maintains sharpness, but both the rasp and the chainsaw fill a bit quicker than expected. But in all fairness I was working them hard in roots and root burls .... very wet wood.

Have not tried the chainsaw blade attachment yet but the other two had no problem ripping through a maple log to make a bowl. How long they last is yet to be seen but for the price they worked great

Product works well. It has a very aggressive cut. Easy to install and use, particularly if you have used a chain saw before. Sometime takes a bit of patience to align the chain, but very straightforward. Keep a good grip and work slowly, however, as the blade is aggressive and can run out quickly, even with the smaller grinder. I would be very careful using it with a lock-on switch grinder.

I bought this tool to make some legs for a rustic table. It is built very well and comes with an extra chain. I used to on Walnut and the wood removal was pretty quick. It creates a lot of dust so be sure and wear all your PPE, I would also advise a heavy leather apron or something to protect your legs just in case the chain could possibly come off though very unlikely.

Bought this to try carving and shaping rough wood projects. Works like it shows in the ad. The more you use it the smoother the carving will become. I have not run into any safety issues. I do recommend using the handle that comes with your grinder until you get comfortable with the carving head and it’s capabilities. Don’t let the low price deter you from buying. At first I thought I dont know, you get what you pay for. Great product great price!!
